THINGS SAID ABOUT CAPSULA:

— TONY VISCONTI

The dynamic garage-rock and heavy psych-rock trio, Capsula, returns with their electrifying new 10-track album, Primitivo Astral, set to shake up the underground music scene once again. Blending raw energy with cosmic vibes, Capsula delivers a sonic experience that draws from their deep well of influences—ranging from 60s and 70s punk, garage, and surf rock to experimental, post-punk, and psychedelic sounds. The band has captivated audiences across the globe, with over two decades of fiercely creative work that has earned them collaborations with rock royalty like Tony Visconti (David Bowie, T-Rex) and John Agnello (Sonic Youth).

Taking centre stage on Primitivo Astral is the powerful focus single, ‘Spelling Love.’ This track embodies Capsula’s signature hypnotic rock sound, fusing heavy psych with West Coast vibes and anthemic energy. The result is a mesmerizing journey of sonic experimentation, featuring Coni's commanding vocals, Martin's heavy guitar riffs, and driving bass rhythms. As the song builds, it weaves together elements of classic rock and modern psych rock with a unique intensity that is bound to leave listeners spellbound.

Created in Capsula’s studio, Silver Recordings, in Spain, ‘Spelling Love’ reflects the band’s meticulous dedication to crafting immersive soundscapes. “It’s about the strength of love,” the band shares, encapsulating the track’s hypnotic, emotional core. Martin’s soaring electric guitar riffs meet Coni’s rich vocals, delivering a bold and electrifying ode to love, power, and resilience.

Capsula’s sonic palette is grounded in a long history of bold experimentation and fearless live performances. Since their formation, the trio has shared the stage with iconic acts like Iggy Pop, Os Mutantes, X and Pearl Jam, channelling the raw energy of their influences while incorporating futuristic, sci-fi-inspired elements.Their live shows are known for their unrelenting intensity, making them a must-see act for fans of postpunk, heavy psych, and alternative rock.

Primitivo Astral builds on the momentum of their previous album, Phantasmaville (2021), and marks a new creative high point in the band’s 25-year journey. In celebration of this milestone, Capsula is set to embark on another tour in 2024, following a triumphant series of 55 shows across Spain, Argentina, Chile, France, and the United States.

With Primitivo Astral and "Spelling Love," Capsula continues to push the boundaries of rock, blending the past with the future in their unique cosmic soundscape.
